Imagine a hairdresser where there’s always cold beers and the classic gossip magazines are replaced with vintage comics and books about cigars and rock’n’roll. It’s basically the ultimate men’s universe. It’s Carl’s Barber Shop, where men can be men, but look good while doing it. And what better time to start than in December – the season of parties?
Whether you’re a jeanswear kind of guy or more into formal suits, your beard should look well-trimmed. In the heart of Copenhagen we found a third-generation barbers shop, with an authentic atmosphere and the expertise to back it up. We got a master barber’s best tips to look good and well-groomed.
Rule your look
Beards are back. It’s that simple. But how should you keep your beard? Whether long and short, there are some basic guidelines that are fairly simple to follow: Keep the beard on the cheeks sleek and trim the beard by the ears close, to achieve the slim look. Keep stray hairs trimmed. Lastly it’s important to trim the beard around the lips. Finish with an oil to soften the beard and keep the sleek shape.
To sum up, there’s three basic things to remember and you’ll be good; clean lines, a slim shape and trim around the lips.
First step to rule Christmas – rule your look.
